On the Edit page, the mediatype field is locked. When uploading a text I neglected to indicate the type and it is showing as "other", "our media."

Am I stuck with that, or can I change it to text somehow?

I have a similar problem. Does anyone know how to change the category, I would like it to be back in the text collection not the our media collection.

any reason why your items can not be duplicated? as in a new upload to the correct place?

then delete the files on the old place, if you can not, why is it a problem?

you can add a comment on the old place, referring people to the correct place, for leaving comments

That is what I did, but it would be nice to simply change it.
